Sonny Lock, England

A “king size” vintage Milton Bradley puzzle from 1963 made in Springfield, Massachusetts. I haven’t posted in a while, this one was pretty challenging! It is over 1500 pieces and my table just barely fit all the pieces. I had to let go of my usual border first system. I started with the house, then the sky, the planter and the boat. Eventually I was able to add the border on and fill in the rest.

There were a couple chewed up pieces, like a dog had gotten hold of them. Three missing pieces and one home made piece which I found really charming. I think a previous owner of this puzzle must have worked really hard on this, on another piece they had written”last piece” on it.
